Quinn Barbaza joined NCSSM in September 2026 as a Community Coordinator for our Durham campus. He grew up in Durham and was raised with a deep-set love for his hometown. Quinn studied English and creative writing at the University of Notre Dame. His love for community and the arts have led him to work in campus housing, recreation, and local city government. He also writes for a local newsletter on theater and arts. When not working, Quinn can usually be found writing and editing a number of fantasy novels and short stories, with a focus on emotional growth and wellness. He enjoys all things involving art, writing, and storytelling, and gets far too invested in college football. Most of his days are powered by stories, coffee, and music.
