Mirielle Burke joined NCSSM in October 2026 as a Senior Community Coordinator for our Durham campus. Her past experience includes eight years of teaching high school social studies and managing residence life programs at The American School in Switzerland. Mirielle earned her bachelor’s degree in history and social studies education from Appalachian State University, with minors in Judaic, Holocaust, and peace studies as well as in Africana studies. She is excited to develop positive relationships with students and staff and to make an impact in her home state of North Carolina. In her spare time, Mirielle enjoys crocheting, traveling, cooking, weight lifting, and spending time with friends.
