Jainny rhymes with “shiny” Estrada joined NCSSM in August 2022 as the Assistant Director of Student Services on the Morganton campus. She is a double alumna of Appalachian State University, where she earned a bachelor’s in political science and a master’s in higher education administration. Before joining NCSSM, she served as the Coordinator of Intercultural Student Affairs at Appalachian State University, where she got to apply her strong passion for diversity, equity, inclusion, and justice work. Jainny believes some of the most meaningful learning experiences for students occur when they pursue their passions through extracurricular leadership roles. Ultimately, she aims to engage in work that educates, elevates, and empowers students to be the devoted and enthusiastic leaders of the future. In addition to working with and supporting students, Jainny enjoys reading, trying new recipes, and spending time with her loved ones and her mini dachshund, Ivy.
