Leonardo Paz
Community Coordinator
Durham
Joined NCSSM in September 2026
Originally from Carrboro, Leonardo Paz joined NCSSM as a Community Coordinator on our Durham campus in September 2026. He attended Williams College, where he majored in American Studies with a concentration in Latinx Studies. Throughout college, Leonardo was a writing tutor for both high schoolers and college peers, worked as an English-to-Spanish written translator, and rang the college chapel’s tower bells. Back home in NC, he worked as a summer intern in Siler City with The Hispanic Liaison’s youth program, Orgullo Latinx Pride, where he developed a passion for working with high school students and their families. In his downtime, Leonardo enjoys listening to music on long, brisk walks, catching up with friends and family over the phone, and telling himself he should get back into reading or knitting.
