The mission of the Office of Human Resources is to attract, motivate, and retain a highly talented and committed workforce.

Our office fosters a supportive work environment where human values and relationships are respected.

Human Resources assists in the recruitment and selection of EHRA faculty, EHRA non-faculty, and SHRA positions. This includes classification, recruitment and advertising, selection guidance, and equal employment opportunity support.

Human Resources is responsible for benefits, salary, and leave administration, as well as position management, unemployment compensation, workers’ compensation, compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act, Family and Medical Leave, and staff development and training.

North Carolina School of Science and Mathematics follows and implements all personnel policies and procedures administered through the Office of State Human Resources for SHRA employees and the UNC System Office for EHRA faculty and EHRA non-faculty employees.
