The mission of the Office of Human Resources is to attract, motivate, and retain a highly talented, committed, and diverse workforce.

Human Resources assists in the recruitment and selection of EHRA faculty, EHRA non-faculty, and SHRA positions. This includes classification, recruitment and advertising, selection advice, and equal employment opportunity guidance.

Human Resources is responsible for benefits, salary, and leave administration, in addition to position management, unemployment compensation, workers’ compensation, Americans with Disabilities Act, Family and Medical Leave, and staff development and training.

North Carolina School of Science and Mathematics follows and implements all personnel policies and procedures administered through the Office of State Human Resources for SHRA employees and UNC System Office for EHRA faculty and EHRA Non-Faculty employees.
