Alex Currin joined NCSSM in August 2022 as a Community Coordinator. Alex was born in Raleigh and grew up in Louisburg, NC. He earned a bachelor’s degree in secondary English education at North Carolina State University, going on to teach English at Southern Nash High School for six years. Alex also has experience as a camp counselor for Camp Oak Hill in Oxford, NC, and volunteers with his church’s kids ministry. He is currently pursuing a master’s in counseling at Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary. His hobbies include playing Civilization V, hoarding obscure board games, and forcing his friends to watch cat-related TikToks. He is a big fan of all animals and would love to see pictures of your pets.
