Steven Anderson ’94

Dr. Steven Anderson is an orthopedic surgeon with AppOrtho, part of Appalachian Regional Medical Associates, practicing primarily at Watauga Medical Center and residing in Blowing Rock, North Carolina. Board certified by the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, he has more than 20 years of experience and specializes in hip, knee, and shoulder surgery, with a focus on primary and revision joint replacement. He performs over 1,000 joint replacements annually and is experienced in robotic-assisted techniques. In managing a high-volume practice of approximately 1,500 procedures per year, he has developed expertise in operational efficiency, team leadership, and workflow optimization. A graduate of the North Carolina School of Science and Mathematics, Duke University, and Wake Forest University School of Medicine, he completed residency at Duke University Medical Center. He and his wife, Erin, have three daughters and enjoy traveling and outdoor activities.
