Anastasia “Ana” Kornegay ’94

Ana Kornegay is a seasoned marketing professional with over 20 years in the adult beverage industry. Ana spent 14 years at Brown-Forman leading sales and marketing efforts for Southern Comfort, Jack Daniel’s and new brand innovation. In 2019, she started Hummingbird Branding and Marketing, a boutique consultancy helping early and mid-stage brands fine tune their strategies and develop and execute strong action plans. She’s worked with a multitude of clients in beverage alcohol, better-for-you foods, and services. Ana received a coaching certification in 2021 and has offered executive life coaching to dozens of women. Currently Ana is leading the marketing department for a tequila brand owned by Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Sammy Hagar and celebrity chef Guy Fieri.
After graduating from NCSSM, Ana completed her bachelor’s in international studies with a focus in anthropology at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She was also fortunate enough to participate in Semester at Sea, visiting 10 countries and completing courses along the way. Ana completed her master’s in business administration at Wake Forest University and received a Master of Science in medical cannabis science and therapeutics from the School of Pharmacy at the University of Maryland, Baltimore.
Ana lives in Raleigh with her husband Sean Rhoderick and their dog Frankie. They enjoy spending time on the coast, traveling, biking, hiking, cooking and entertaining.
