Gerry Sherman ’82

Gerry Sherman is a 1982 graduate of NCSSM. He is a veteran of the U.S. Navy, having served as a Naval Aviator and honorably retired at the rank of Captain following a 30-year career of combined active and reserve service in the areas of operations, education, science and technology, and administration. Gerry’s career in the public sector includes employment with Naval Research Laboratory, Nortel Networks, and Capital One in the areas of software engineering, research and development, and information technology. Gerry’s spouse, Tiffany, is a 1983 graduate of NCSSM, and together they owned and operated a small retail business for 11 years located in Midlothian, VA.
Gerry holds a BSE degree in systems engineering from the U.S. Naval Academy, an MSE degree in electrical engineering from Tulane University, and an MBA from Duke University. He is a past president of the NCSSM Alumni Association and a current member of the NCSSM Foundation Board.
