Dan Cory ’89

Dan Cory is a software product manager, retired after a career with esri, Microsoft, Tableau, and UrbanFootprint. His focus was design of user interfaces for data analytics, with an emphasis on data visualization and maps (Geographic Information Systems). He applied this to making climate data easier to use for insurance, construction, and other industries. He also worked on Microsoft Photosynth, once used to solve a crime on CSI:NY.
Dan is the Seattle coordinator for MATHCOUNTS, a national middle-school mathematics competition. He also serves on the commission for URJ Camp Kalsman, a Jewish summer camp.
Dan has a B.S. in mathematics from Stanford University. He lives in Seattle with his spouse, Julia Bacharach, and loves to see his two adult children on their own adventures.
