Nina C. Kornegay is a North Carolina native, originally from LaGrange, North Carolina. Since joining NCSSM in January of 2019, Nina has taught both Online and IVC Forensic Science and AP Psychology courses. Before joining NCSSM, Nina worked as a Forensic Chemist for the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner for the state of North Carolina. Nina earned a B.S. in biology from North Carolina Central University and an M.A. in Forensic Psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. Nina is passionate about creating and tweaking different teaching strategies, professional development, and community building in education. Nina’s hobbies are shopping, traveling, and spending quality time with family and friends.
