Joined NCSSM in July 2022
Isaac Stewart joined the faculty of NCSSM-Morganton in July 2022 as an Instructor of Chemistry. He began his teaching career in 2008 at Hickory Day School as middle grades science teacher and Director of Technology. Shortly thereafter he joined the faculty at Alexander Central High School where he taught biology, chemistry, and physics. Most recently Isaac has taught at St. Stephens High School in Hickory, NC, where he taught chemistry and physics. In 2022 Isaac was named Teacher of the Year for St. Stephens High School, and was a finalist for Catawba County Schools Teacher of the Year. In his spare time he enjoys cooking in and out of the kitchen, hiking the NC mountains with his wife and two kids, being a Dad, and singing with his barbershop quartet.
