Adam Benoit joined the NCSSM-Morganton team in June 2022 as a physics instructor. He began his career in 2005 at Lincolnton High School in western North Carolina, where he taught physics, chemistry, earth and environmental science, physical science, and pre-calculus. In 2012 he was named Lincolnton High School Teacher of the Year, and in 2021 he became a North Carolina Energy Literacy Fellow. Adam also spent 15 years coaching football and three years coaching track & field. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and their three dogs and cat, 3D printing, and playing video games. He is an active volunteer for Helping Animals to Survive HATS in Lincoln County and was elected to the Board of Directors in 2022.
