Joined NCSSM in October 2025
Madi Evans joined NCSSM in October 2025 as an Instructor of Biology on our Durham campus. A lifelong Triangle native, Madi taught all levels of biology in both Durham and Wake County Public Schools. She developed a passion for guiding students through hands-on laboratory work and independent research projects. She holds a bachelor’s degree in biology and psychology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a master’s degree in teaching from Duke University. Madi is particularly interested in helping students connect the biological concepts they study in the classroom to real-world applications. Outside the classroom, Madi enjoys cooking, completing puzzles of all kinds, and spending time with her husband, daughter, and dog.
