Katy Waddell joined NCSSM in August 2025 as a Community Coordinator for our Morganton campus. She holds bachelor’s degrees in psychology and English literature from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Prior to joining NCSSM, Katy worked as a research associate with UNC Project-Malawi in Lilongwe, where she focused on public mental health. Outside of work, she enjoys paddleboarding, hiking, watching sports, and drawing.
