Lacey O’Rourke joined NCSSM in August 2022 as a Wellness Counselor and the Academic Accessibility Specialist on our Morganton campus. She was born and raised in the heart of Western North Carolina. She has over 10 years of counseling experience in a variety of work settings including academic, residential, and community. She has a passion for serving others and inspires self-awareness, self-care, and self-advocacy in those around her. She is able to cultivate and maintain supportive relationships with students, families, staff, and community partners. Lacey has been fluent in American Sign Language since age nine. Lacey graduated from Lenoir-Rhyne University with an additional certificate in Counseling from a Christian Perspective, is a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC), and is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Supervisor (LCMHCS). She has a natural talent for leading and training others to reach their fullest potential. In her spare time, Lacey enjoys time with her family, social outings with friends, serving in her local church, journaling, reading, singing, dancing, shopping, fashion, traveling, swimming, and cooking.
