Lacey O’Rourke joined NCSSM in August 2022 as a Counselor on our Morganton campus. She was born and raised in the heart of Western North Carolina. She has over 10 years of counseling experience in a variety of work settings including academic, residential, and community. She has a passion for serving others and inspires self-awareness, self care, and self-advocacy to those around her. She is able to cultivate and maintain supportive relationships with students, families, staff, and community partners. She earned a bachelor’s degree in American Sign Language and interpreting from Gardner-Webb University, and has been fluent in ASL since age nine. Lacey earned her master’s in clinical mental health counseling from Lenoir-Rhyne University and also graduated with her certification in Christian counseling. Lacey is a Nationally Certified Counselor NCC and a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Supervisor LCMHCS. She has a natural talent for leading and training others to reach their fullest potential. In her spare time, Lacey enjoys time with her family, social outings with friends, serving in her local church, journaling, photography, reading, singing, dancing, shopping, fashion, traveling, swimming, yoga, boating, and cooking.
