A member of Counseling Services at NCSSM since 2015, Carissa Trotta provides personal counseling services to students, support to their families, and education and resource provision to NCSSM faculty. Carissa’s primary role is Case Manager through which she facilitates communication with relevant individuals regarding students when needed; attends consultation and team meetings; functions as a member of the student support teams; addresses the special needs of students and facilitates Individualized Support Plans; and provides training and support for teachers/staff when working with special needs students. Carissa also serves as the NCSSM Accessibilities Coordinator ensuring that all students have equity and access to the academic environment.
