Justine Davey initially joined NCSSM’s staff as a part-time residential community coordinator in August 2015 when she was completing her master’s degree in social work. Upon completion of her degree, she spent one year working in the Chancellor’s Office before transitioning to her current role as Counselor. As an alumna of NCSSM, Justine intimately understands the challenges that students experience during their transition to NCSSM, and she enjoys supporting them through this pivotal time in their lives. During her tenure, Justine has co-sponsored the Asian Student Association, the Greece and Japan international J-Term trips, and served as assistant coach of the women’s soccer team. She is currently working towards obtaining her Licensed Clinical Social Worker LCSW license to meet the increased mental health needs of her students. During her free time, Justine enjoys supporting her husband’s oyster farm and taking her dog, Astro, on short walks or long car rides.
