Joined NCSSM in August 2011

Hong Li joined NCSSM in 2011 and has enjoyed walking with students on their journey of world language acquisition and cultural understanding. She has developed and taught a series of Chinese courses from Navigating in Chinese to AP Chinese Language and Culture. Since 2013, she has led the Global Understanding Program, a year-long series of real-time interactive video conferences between NCSSM and a high school in China. Hong has led annual in-person and virtual exchanges between NCSSM and the same school during NCSSM’s J-Term. She has sponsored several student-taught forums. Hong worked at Manchester University, UK, as a research associate and taught in Guangzhou, China, as an English instructor. Hong loves travelling, hiking, biking, and playing badminton.
