I am a native of Durham born in Watts Hospital, actually! and I began my education career as a Durham Public Schools teacher and principal. Most recently I served as superintendent of Ann Arbor Public Schools in Michigan before returning to Durham in 2010 to become North Carolina School of Science and Math’s fourth chancellor.
