Jamie Butler has more than 15 years of experience in the field of education, starting as a fourth-grade teacher in the public school system in Pike Township in Indianapolis, where she built her in-class curriculum on diversity education. Along the way, Jamie has written and implemented organizational policy, envisioned departmental mission statements, rebranded units, chaired committees, and supported and advocated for the minoritized. Jamie has been requested as a speaker, has served on panels, and has led workshops and trainings nationwide. As Associate Vice Chancellor for Student and Employee Success, she focuses on promoting a thriving environment where everyone feels they belong. In her free time Jamie enjoys spending time with her four boys; Jamison, Jackson, and twins JaCory and JaCoby. She earned her bachelor’s in elementary education and teaching and her master’s in higher education student affairs from Indiana University Bloomington.
