Carol T. Harris serves as an internal auditor at the North Carolina School of Science and Mathematics where she provides assurance and consulting services to school leaders. Carol has over 16 years of internal audit experience, including time as internal auditor at North Carolina Central University and the University of North Carolina Wilmington. Prior to internal audit, she worked in accounting at Cleveland Regional Medical Center in Shelby, NC, and at UNC Hospitals in Chapel Hill, NC. Carol received her bachelor’s degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and is a Certified Internal Auditor CIA and has earned a Certification in Risk Management Assurance CRMA. She is a member of the Institute of Internal Auditors, the Association of College and University Auditors, and the University of North Carolina Auditors Association UNCAA. As an active member of the UNCAA, she has served on the association’s board as past-president, president, vice-president, and secretary.
