Deann Barger joined NCSSM-Durham in 2011, serving as the Science Department Program Associate. As the primary contact person for the Science Department, Deann is the public face of the department and is responsible for bookkeeping, ordering, receiving, managing HR contracts, and coordinating faculty and student travel. During her time at NCSSM, Deann has taken on additional leadership roles, serving as Staff Senate Vice Chair, Recording Secretary, and Staff Liaison for the Board of Trustees committees. Deann has also been a member of the SCSSI Board of Directors. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree from West Virginia Wesleyan College.
