Sierra Cater joined NCSSM in April 2025 as Professional Advisor and Success Coach based on our Durham campus. Previous to NCSSM, Sierra worked as an academic program coordinator at UNC Chapel Hill supporting academic leadership teams in managing program operations, and as an academic advisor at University of Central Florida supporting students throughout the entirety of their collegiate journey. Sierra aims to foster success by providing access to intentional experiences, programming, and resources that promote academic exploration, educational autonomy, and holistic student well-being. In her free time, Sierra enjoys spending time with family and friends, Netflix, college football, traveling, and finding new experiences to partake in.
