Justin Fleming, a proud alumnus of NCSSM (Class of 2004) and UNC-Chapel Hill (Class of 2008), brings a wealth of experience to his role as Chief Information Officer. While at UNC, Justin honed his technical expertise through roles at the IT Response Center and as a campus representative for Apple. His career took him to MIT, where he spent five years in IT support and project management before returning to his home state in 2013. After supporting IT operations at Duke’s School of Medicine, Justin rejoined NCSSM in 2016 as an application administrator and trainer. Over time, he has advanced to Deputy CIO in 2021 and permanent CIO in 2025. A native of Thomasville, NC, Justin lives in Hillsborough with his wife, CJ Fleming ’04, a psychology professor, and enjoys exploring new gadgets, gaming, and traveling.
