Jason Hoyle joined the NCSSM team in March 2026 serving as IT Applications Administrator. Before making the move to technology, he was a music educator in Burke County and led ensembles at Freedom and Draughn High School from 2004-2019. After earning a graduate certificate in instructional technology, he transferred to Hickory City Schools where he became a regional and state leader and most recently a district specialist in instructional technology. As a CoSN Certified Education Technology Leader, he seeks to empower staff and students with skills to navigate emerging technologies. Jason resides in Valdese with his wife, Jessica, and two children, Noah and Michaela. Retaining his roots in music, Jason is an active musician, playing trumpet with the Unifour Brass Ensemble. He actively seeks opportunities for hiking, camping, and generally immersing himself in nature, finding it the perfect counterpoint to the digital world in which he works.
