Joined NCSSM in January 2024

Stephanie Eggers joined NCSSM in January 2024 as an Instructor of Computer Science on our Morganton campus. She received her B.S. in textile management and apparel manufacturing at North Carolina State University where she discovered her passion for design, and her M.S. in instructional technology at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington where she continued her passion for design in online course development and computer science. While in school, she served as a graduate assistant to the Associate Dean of Organizational Development & External Programs where she assisted in curriculum support, workshop development and research for grants. She designed webpages and developed online courses for the School of Nursing and Graduate School of Business, and continues to develop online courses for teachers across North Carolina in business and computer science. Stephanie also spent time as a graphic designer where she created business ads and company marketing materials. She has taught in public schools and community colleges for over 25 years where she holds three licenses with focused areas in computer science and design. She is a facilitator for Computer Science Principles for Code.org; a teaching coach for Appalachian State University CS4All Program; and a reader for AP Computer Science. She enjoys online course development and mentoring students and teachers in the field of computer science.
