WORKING TITLE: Summer Accelerator Off-Site Coordinator
DEPARTMENT: Extended Learning – Summer Programs
POSITION LOCATION: Morganton, NC (NC Center for Engineering Technologies (NCCET) in Hickory, NC.)

HIRING SALARY RANGE: $21.59 per hour

Description of Duties:
The Off-site Coordinator is responsible for day-to-day operations and program oversight for Summer Accelerator at the NC Center for Engineering Technologies (NCCET) in Hickory, NC. Responsibilities include managing daily student check-in and check-out, responding to emergency situations, providing first aid, communicating with families, supporting instructors, coordinating program supplies, overseeing instructional assistants, supervising students at lunchtime, photographing programs, and other duties as needed. The Off-site Coordinator is the main point of contact for and liaison between families, instructors, program staff, and Summer Programs Coordinators.
Reports to the Summer Programs Director/Assistant Director on the Morganton campus.
Job Requirements:
- Summer Accelerator at the NCCET runs June 19 – 23, June 26-30 and July 10 – 14, 2023.
- Hours are generally 8 am to 5 pm.
- It may be possible to combine this role with another student life position with NCSSM’s Summer Programs in Morganton, NC for up to 6 weeks of employment.
Minimum Education and Experience:
- Experience working with youth, preferably in a school or summer camp setting
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Four-year college degree
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work independently
Preferred qualifications:
- Proven leadership experience
- Current first aid and CPR certification or willingness to obtain certification
- Highly organized with sharp attention to detail, responsible, and mature with excellent problem-solving skills
- Photography, social media, and communications experience
