WORKING TITLE: Senior Residential Life Leader

DEPARTMENT: Extended Learning – Summer Programs

POSITION LOCATION: Durham, NC or Morganton, NC

HIRING SALARY RANGE: $173 per day (flat rate, no overtime) plus room and board during programs (housing not provided during the week of July 4)

Description of Duties:

The Senior Residence Life Leader (RLL) of Summer Accelerator or STEP Up to STEM will be responsible for overseeing and supervising the residential staff. They will act as the liaison between summer programs staff and leadership team. Responsibilities include: supervision of staff and programming, ensuring emergencies are handled properly, communicating with parents, scheduling of staff, dorm assignments, and communicating with school personnel as necessary. This person will be responsible for running staff meetings when on duty and coming up with the best plan of action for check in/out days.

They will work closely with the leadership team in the weeks leading up to summer working on logistical items as well as working to help plan and lead staff training.

Strong candidates will demonstrate the ability to work independently as well as in a team setting, excellent communication skills, ability to supervise a team, and make critical decisions.
