Travis Seevers joined NCSSM in September 2023 as Director of Library at NCSSM-Morganton. With a career in education since 1996, he has held positions as a teacher, elementary librarian, and high school librarian. Travis dedicates his time to educating and empowering learning community members to recognize and achieve their educational, professional, and personal aspirations. He brings a unique perspective to his role, as his son graduated from NCSSM-Durham in 2021. This experience equips him with an understanding of the distinctive needs of both students and the institution. Travis earned his bachelor’s degree in elementary education and his master’s in library science at Appalachian State University. Beyond his professional commitments, Travis finds enjoyment in rock climbing alongside his two college-age sons, indulging in hiking and biking adventures across the picturesque gravel roads and trails of Western NC with his wife, and cherishing moments with his family, dog, cats, and a brood of eight chickens in lovely Morganton, NC.
