As a University Librarian at NCSSM, Keith Beisner designs instructional materials and teaches information literacy and research skills to residential and distance education students during the academic school year and through summer programs. He also enjoys promoting reading for enjoyment, collaborating with faculty to infuse information skills instruction into their content areas, and teaching students how to find information in their library through various means, such as using our online catalog, electronic databases, and inter-library loan system. Additionally, Keith works with the NCSSM Library team to further collection development, Learning Commons renovations, and library program promotional activities. Keith is a North Carolina licensed School Librarian with library work experience in elementary, middle, and high schools and university and public libraries, as well as engineering and product design work experience in the computer, biomedical, and aerospace industries. He holds a Master of Science degree in Library Science from UNC – Chapel Hill and a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from West Virginia University.
