Keyunda Miller-McCollum joined NCSSM in October 2024 as the Director of Library for our Durham campus. With a blend of knowledge in academic, public, and school libraries, she has nearly two decades of experience in the library profession. Keyunda began her library career at Durham Public Library before transitioning into academic libraries. During her career as a school librarian, she was nominated for Library Media Coordinator of the Year. She also attended the Royal Library School in Copenhagen, Denmark, and traveled to Sweden to explore some of the most sophisticated library systems in the world. Most recently, she attended Harvard University’s Leadership Institute for Academic Librarians, receiving a certificate in Library Leadership. Her leadership roles include director of library services and grant coordinator for several institutions and grant initiatives.
