Robin Namenek-Beets joined NCSSM in October 2024 as Communications Projects Coordinator on our Morganton campus. In this role, Robin facilitates the workflow of projects through NCSSM Communications, organization of the team’s creative assets, and budget tracking, and takes photographs for Communications in Morganton.
Robin brings 10 years of project coordination and management experience in academic, commercial and nonprofit environments. Before joining NCSSM, Robin served as Field Station Operations Leader for Dow AgroSciences, where she oversaw four diverse research programs and the overall management of a 220-acre research farm, and was responsible for coordinating the daily plan of work, capital projects, resource and budget allocation, and logistics onsite and across seven states, Puerto Rico and Hawaii. Prior to that, she served as Research Associate in a university research and extension system. Robin earned her bachelor’s degree in plant and soil science and animal science from University of Arkansas, a master’s in agronomy from Mississippi State University, and is a Cotton Incorporated Fellowship recipient for Ph.D. research. She enjoys endurance sports, hiking and exploring the trails, waterfalls and swimming holes of the Blue Ridge Mountains and Pisgah National Forest, and volunteering with Carolina Boxer Rescue.
