Denise Whitley joined NCSSM in March 2026 as Accounting Manager. She has experience in governmental and higher education finance, with a focus on financial reporting and strengthening accounting processes that support sound fiscal stewardship. Prior to joining NCSSM, Denise served as Director of Financial Reporting at the University of North Carolina at Pembroke. Her professional background also includes experience in healthcare accounting. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family, her beloved dogs and cats, and watching college sports.
