North Carolina School of Science and Mathematics gratefully acknowledges a $100,000 donation from Case Farms to support the Ignite + Transform Campaign. Having operated in the Unifour region of Western North Carolina since 1988, Case Farms is highly invested in the community, employing more than 1,000 people in the Morganton area, where a new NCSSM campus opened in 2022.
The generous gift from Case Farms will help to create and upgrade innovative learning environments on the school’s Morganton campus and expand access to cutting-edge STEM education, knowledgeable faculty, and mentors throughout North Carolina through NCSSM’s distance education and extended learning programs.
“Case Farms is proud to support NCSSM-Morganton and contribute to the growth of STEM education right here in our community,” said Charles Rigdon of Case Farms. “We believe investing in education and in the potential of North Carolina’s students benefits not only the Morganton area but the future of our entire state.”
“We are grateful for Case Farms’ dedication to NCSSM and the Morganton campus. Their continued investment over the past five years is a testament to the support the campus has received from the local community,” said Kevin Baxter, Vice Chancellor and Chief Campus Officer for NCSSM-Morganton. “With this second six-figure contribution, our campus is able to continue its growth while expanding access to innovative STEM education throughout our region.”
The NCSSM Foundation’s Ignite + Transform campaign is raising more than $50 million in private donations to strengthen the impact of NCSSM’s innovative teaching and STEM education.
