Brian Wiggs joined NCSSM in September 2022 as Director of Campus Safety on our Durham campus, bringing both broad and specialized experience in law enforcement practice, having served with the North Carolina State Highway Patrol, the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation, and the North Carolina State University Police Department. He took on varying roles while at the NCSU PD, including supervising Patrol Squads, the Crime Prevention and Community Engagement Unit, the Criminal Investigations Division, and Special Units. He spent approximately four years developing police operations plans for major events on NCSU’s campus such as NCSU football games, ACC athletic sports competitions, dignitary visits, commencements, road races, and more. Brian strives to provide quality service through competent management, subject-matter expertise, and genuine engagement.
