This course invites students to explore global and environmental challenges while connecting classroom learning to real-world events. Designed to bridge English Language Arts and Science, it provides students with the analytical tools they need to think critically across disciplines. Through cross-curricular activities that incorporate 21st-century learning skills, students will collaboratively tackle complex, authentic problems.
After reading, analyzing, discussing, and responding to a diverse collection of texts, students will confront a central question: Who is responsible for environmental cleanup after war, conflict, natural disasters, and human-made catastrophes? This course is reading- and writing-intensive and emphasizes teamwork, thoughtful discussion, and meaningful inquiry.
