The Regional Parent Liaison (RPL) program is comprised of current NCSSM parents from each NCSSM Geographic Region who serve as area NCSSM contacts to facilitate connection, community and communication among families of current NCSSM students residing in the district. The program’s purpose is to:
- expand the infrastructure of the NCSSM Parent Association.
- increase geographic diversity within the Parent Association leadership.
- increase NCSSM parent engagement across the State of NC.
RPLs from each Region accomplish program goals by attending monthly webinars to learn more about NCSSM, volunteering on campus, and hosting Semester Socials in their home communities. One Semester Social is held in each district in the fall, with additional Socials or connection opportunities occurring throughout the school year. Semester Social details are shared through NCSSM family email accounts. If you have questions about a Semester Social near you, please contact the Regional Parent Liaison Coordinator, Sri Akula, or Parent Relations Director, Trish Aiello.
Are you interested in becoming an RPL? The RPL application is open until late August each academic year. If you have questions about the RPL program or role description, or would like to submit an application, contact Trish Aiello (Parent Relations Director).
