 All new and returning Residential program families are invited to join a special summer meeting for a back-to-school overview. Important information will be shared about what to expect as your student moves onto campus and begins their NCSSM experience. The meeting will cover presentations from Academic Programs, the Communications department, and Student Life. Members of the Registrar’s office will also share essential information. Team members from the Center for Academic and Advising Success and the Service Learning Coordinator will also be present to share more details about those programs with you. You will hear more about campus construction and renovation updates, the UNC Tuition Grant, upcoming regional Summer Information Sessions, and opportunities to get involved at NCSSM to help build community, support the student experience, and advance the school’s educational mission through the work of the Parent Association.

Guest presenters include: Chancellor Todd Roberts, Kevin Baxter (Vice Chancellor and Chief Campus Officer for NCSSM-Morganton), Barb Coury (Vice Chancellor for Development and NCSSM Foundation President), Terry Lynch (Vice Chancellor for Student Life and Chief Campus Officer for NCSSM-Durham), Angela Teachey (Interim Provost and Vice Chancellor for Academic Programs), Brock Winslow (Vice Chancellor for External Relations and Chief of Staff), Jennifer Betz (Registrar), Emily Cunard (Director of Communications, Morganton), and Jessica Stroup (Director of Advising and Academic Operations). Your NCSSM Parent Relations Director and the new Parent Association leadership team will also be introduced.
