Two Brains: Constitutions as Living Documents (with Carolina Public Humanities)

Constitutions evolve, as does our understanding of the systems of governance and rights that they establish. We will look at both the Federal and North Carolina constitutions and ask: How do we live our lives differently because of these documents? Are the rights they express as inalienable and just as they could be? How can the histories behind our founding documents inform the future of our civil society? Our special guests will be:
