NCSSM Fine Arts Series proudly presents: “The World From Our Kitchen Counter” by Van Knight & Ross Knight. Join us on Friday, Oct. 17, from 4-6 p.m. in the ETC Lobby! Spend time with the paintings and meet the artists!

“I grew up surrounded by love and color. Some of my earliest memories are of sitting on my Dad’s lap while he painted. When dad wasn’t painting, he was often sitting at our kitchen table, excitedly pointing out his favorite works in art books and enlightening the family with stories of artists of the past. Soon, I was demanding to paint too, and no doubt frustrated my dad to no end by refusing to copy what he was doing! I wonder if he ever imagined that as I grew, I would try to match his style. I have always been a bit less impressionistic, a lot slower, and too worried about details and mistakes. His speed and confidence in completing a canvas still amaze me.” –Ross Knight

Created in collaboration, Ross and Van Knight divided each canvas, working side by side to complete the composition. Read more here.
