Biography

Dana Shillinglaw works as a part-time Constituent Relations Liaison for External Relations at NCSSM. Dana is the former Office Manager for the NCSSM-Morganton planning office in Burke County. She joined the NCSSM family in September 2018 following several years working in higher education at NC State University and a 10-year career in NC politics. She left working full time to stay at home with her first son, Miles, and has since welcomed her second son, Brooks. Dana earned her bachelor’s degree in political science from NC State University in 2011. Dana has relocated back to the Raleigh area with her husband, Mike, two sons Miles and Brooks, and dog Beau.
