Machine Learning & Coding with Finch Robotics

In this course, students will learn the basics of coding by programming Finch robots and exploring the concept of teachable machines. Students will train their robots to recognize patterns, make decisions based on input, and gain a deeper understanding of how machine learning works in real-world applications.

I have worked in education for 18 years. I taught second grade for 10 years. When teaching at the elementary level I loved using digital resources and hands on activities. For the past 8 years I have worked as a media coordinator/instructional technology facilitator at a middle school. I live in Taylorsville, NC with my husband, daughter and miniature schnauzer. I received my bachelor degree in elementary education from Mars Hill College near Asheville, NC. I received both of my graduate degrees (educational media and library science) from Appalachian State University in Boone, NC.
