Climate change isn’t just a science issue—it’s a justice issue. In this course, students explore the science behind rising CO₂ levels, global warming, and ocean acidification, and examine how these changes affect people differently around the world. You’ll investigate how power, economics, and industry shape environmental outcomes, and why shifting from fossil fuels to renewable energy is key to a sustainable future. Through data analysis, hands-on labs, debates, and a creative culminating project, students will explore how social and economic equality connect to climate action. The course concludes by empowering youth voices to imagine and advocate for just, community-driven climate solutions.
