Course Introduction

Discover the potential of artificial intelligence (AI) to transform our world. Learn how AI systems are developed and applied across various sectors, from social media to healthcare, and engage in ethical discussions about the future of AI. Explore how AI is portrayed in popular culture, how these systems interact with humans, and the potential harm from inappropriately designed AI systems. Experiment and compute to explore and solve AI-related problems.

Requirements:
● Prerequisites: B or higher in Math I or Integrated Math I through your local high school or NCVPS
● Materials/Textbook: Free software must be downloaded and installed.
● Site Requirements: Ready access to a computer with internet and web conferencing capabilities. Headphones equipped with built-in microphones are recommended for shared spaces.
