University of North Carolina President Margaret Spellings has shared an op-ed on tax reform in the Chronicle of Higher Education, originally published on November 28. In the piece, Tax Reform That Students, Colleges, and Our Country Can’t Afford, she discusses the implications of the tax reform bill for higher education. 

“As lawmakers in Washington work to enact the most extensive tax reform in a generation, they must be wary of unintended consequences for the nation’s colleges and universities,” Spellings writes in the piece.

NCSSM is a member of the UNC System, joining in 2007 to become the 17th constituent institution of the University of North Carolina system.
