High Point paper celebrates grad headed to Harvard

Christian Bailey-Burke ’15 told a reporter with his hometown paper, the High Point Enterprise, that the transition from small-town high school to boarding school at NCSSM was not easy. “I had to adjust to this new environment. I love my roommates to death, but having to live with someone in a room is hard. And the academics are very rigorous.”

It’s safe to say that Bailey-Burke survived, thrived actually, these last two years. He conducted research this past year at Duke University on the innate math skills of preschoolers. And now he’s heading to Harvard University, where he plans to study neurobiology and economics.
