A cohort of 89 students will be conducting research across STEM and humanities disciplines this year as participants in the Mentorship and Research programs. Mentorship students will travel on Tuesdays and Thursdays during Trimester 1 and 2 to spend the afternoon with their mentors at UNC-Chapel Hill, NC State, and Duke University. Research students will travel for thier departmental research programs.
In addition to working with mentors (who can include professional staff, graduate students, and undergraduate students), Mentorship students meet in small groups with their NCSSM instructors bi-weekly, complete a research journal, and complete several projects to professionally communicate their research.
