Wesley Davis joined NCSSM in August 2023 as a Wellness Coordinator on our Morganton campus. A native of Kentucky, he earned his bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Kentucky. After completing his degree, he accomplished one of his childhood dreams—thru-hiking the Appalachian Trail. His love for the mountains led him to Appalachian State University where he received his master’s degree in professional school counseling. Wesley was the Director of Counseling at Montreat College for five years and prior to that, he was a high school counselor in the Buncombe County School System for a decade. He is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC) in North Carolina as well as a National Certified Counselor (NCC). He is a certified trainer in both Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) and Question, Persuade, Refer (QPR) Suicide Prevention training. He loves to meet with students and help them on their journey to becoming the best version of themselves. Outside of work, he enjoys recreating in the great outdoors and adventuring with his son Henry and hound dog NoBo.
