Rick Hess started at NCSSM in November of 1993. He has spent his entire career in Campus Safety, starting as a security guard walking rounds at NCSSM before eventually moving up to become assistant director and later director of security. Rick has served on numerous committees at NCSSM, and has certifications in many areas involving safety and security. He is a certified ALICE instructor, and has taken numerous FEMA and North Carolina Emergency Management classes throughout his career.
